PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev commented on the Moscow meetings results

According to him, the most important result was the decision made by the Russian side to supply the Sputnik V vaccine to Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, April 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On the air of the First Pridnestrovian TV Channel the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev spoke about the results of his working visit to Moscow, in which he accompanied the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky.

In addition, the President received members of the public at the Official Representation of Pridnestrovie in Moscow.

“The business trip and work were eventful: interaction with all structures of the Russian Federation in substantive areas. We worked intensively. The most important topic is bilateral interaction between Pridnestrovie and Russia, protecting the interests of citizens, coordinated action on the negotiation process, time and approaches checks, discussing the difficult current situation associated with the pandemic and mechanisms for supporting Pridnestrovie,” Vitaly Ignatiev commented.

The PMR Foreign Minister called the decision made by the Russian side to supply the republic with the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine as an important result.

“The Russian Federation has made a decision on the supply This is important. A fundamental decision to support Pridnestrovie was made at the end of December. There were difficulties associated with the position of Chisinau. We were not able to implement the vaccine supply in any form due to internal Moldovan reasons. There was evidence to suggest that Chisinau will work on the mistakes and in the near future the vaccine will be delivered and will save lives,” Vitaly Ignatiev said.

It should be reminded that at the meeting of Vadim Krasnoselsky and Dmitry Kozak, an agreement was reached on the delivery of 62 thousand doses of the Sputnik V vaccine to the PMR. The first batch is 42 thousand units. It will arrive in the republic in April, another 20 thousand doses in May.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also said that at the meetings with Sergey Neverov and Konstantin Zatulin, there were discussed practical measures to support Pridnestrovie by Russia at the level of the State Duma.

“Serious work is now underway in order to adopt a specific resolution, which will spell out and clearly define the forms and mechanisms for solving urgent problems about the forms of support for the PMR,” the PMR Foreign Minister stated.

According to him, this work is being carried out within the framework of the final protocol, which was adopted in March this year at a round table in the State Duma of the Russian Federation dedicated to supporting Russian citizens and compatriots in the PMR.
