Tiraspol, March 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Additional Wi-Fi hotspots will appear in Pridnestrovie. This will be done within the framework of the state program for the tourism’s development. According to the today’s the Supreme Council’s meeting, the creation of new Wi-Fi areas is one of ways to attract not only international travelers, but also local residents for recreation in Pridnestrovie. Therefore, hotspots will be created in those places where a lot of people always gather together. The corresponding amendments have already been adopted by parliamentarians.
Thus, already this year, free access to the wireless network will be provided on the Bendery fortress’s territory. This is one of the most frequently visited places: various festivals, competitions as well as excursions are held here.
“The new, in my opinion, very interesting and important article has appeared in the state program for tourism’s supporting and developing – this is Wi-Fi areas’ expansion in places that are visited by tourists in large numbers,” the PMR Supreme Council’s deputy Vadim Kravchuk noted.
Money resources for wireless Internet connection have been included in the republican budget for this year. In the event of Wi-Fi hotspots give a positive result, they will begin to be established in all Pridnestrovian tourist attraction territories.
“This is one of ways to attract not only the older generation tourists, but also the younger one, who constantly use gadgets, phones and other information carriers. In the ideal case, in order for us to keep up-to-date with the whole world, all parks, beaches as well as sightseeing attractions, located on streets should be provided with such Wi-Fi hotspots,” the parliamentarian added.
Within the state program framework, the “Learn more about Pridnestrovie” website development will also begin. It will contain the current information about our republic and places to visit. This information will be useful not only for foreign citizens, but also for local tourists. As late as the year of 2021, new road informational signage will be installed at the main Pridnestrovian tourist attractions as well as travel itinerary. Funds for the website development, supporting and promotion, as well as for signage’s installation are included in the state budget.
According to the PMR Supreme Council’s deputy Vadim Kravchuk, in terms of this program importance, then this’s a state-level program. This indicates that the state is trying to make our region more attractive not only for tourists from all over the world, but also for our neighbors. It’s important to make every effort that people have a desire to visit our republic and know how Pridnestrovian citizens are living.
Corresponding changes to the target state program for the Pridnestrovian tourism supporting and development for the period of 2019-2026 have been adopted in the second reading by the PMR Supreme Council.
