Customs assignments to budget decreased by 9% due to the COVID-19 pandemic in last year

Moreover, in the whole they compiled for 50% of the republican budget actual income

Tiraspol, February 16. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/.  The PMR’s State Customs Committee (SCC) is summarizing service activities results in 2020. According to customs statistics, the Pridnestrovian trade turnover decreased by 10% the imports volume decreased by 13% and exports by 4%, compared to the year of 2019.

“The business decline of foreign trade activity is observed in almost all world countries. This’s directly associated by the analysists with the COVID-19 pandemic conditions, in which imports and exports indicators roiled on force majeure due to closed borders as well as currency changes,” the State Customs Committee press service reports.

Payments to the state budget, which are in terms of customs payments, take place in direct proportion on the external trade volume. According to the PMR SCC, in the past year they decreased by 9% compared. At the same time, the amount of imposing import customs duty, decreased by 3%, compared to the previous year. Under the article “excise duty”, funds were received by 20% less.

At the same time, the assignments plan to the republican budget was fulfilled by 99.5%. More than 757 million rubles were transferred in the form of customs payments, which amounted to 50% of the state budget actual revenues in the year of 2020.
