Alexander Martynov: We continue hospitals reconstruction

The Prime Minister noted: 2-3 years is not enough to fix all the problems in healthcare, it needs more time

Tiraspol, January 16. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Prime Minister Alexander Martynov spoke about the problems in the PMR health system in an interview with the First Pridnestrovian TV Channel. In his opinion, they have not been resolved for decades. Therefore, 2-3 years are not enough to fix all of them. It needs more time.

“As for the infrastructure, it hasn`t been dealt with for a very long time, since the creation of the PMR. So now we are strongly engaged in the reconstruction of hospitals and polyclinics,” Alexander Martynov said.

The state made progress in this direction over the past few years. The renovation of hospitals and polyclinics will continue in the future, the Prime Minister added.

New ambulance cars, which were purchased in recent years, have helped a lot during the coronavirus pandemic, Alexander Martynov said.

“I spoke with the head of Emergency Services. He said that we would simply collapse on the third day if the cars remained old,” the Prime Minister stressed.

Modernization of the material and technical resources of educational, health care and cultural institutions are one of the points of the PMR Development Strategy for 2019-2026, developed on the instructions from the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky. A Capital Investment Fund was created to finance the work on the suggestion of the Government in 2018. The funds are allocated to the republican budget. The amounts and the list of objects are approved by the Supreme Council. The work carried out is under the personal control of the President Vadim Krasnoselsky.
