The Pridnestrovian delegation of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) insists on all peacekeeping mechanisms work in full scope

Regular meeting of the JCC was disrupted by the Moldovan side

Bendery, November 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The regular session of the Joint Control Commission was disrupted by the Moldovan side. The reason is the reluctance of the representatives of the official Chisinau to include the question of the incidents in the Security Zone, that took place on November 1 and 15.

On the days of the presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova, combatants and individual Moldovan politicians limited the access of Pridnestrovian citizens to polling places, staged various provocations.

As the co-chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov noted, on November 15 incidents took place in different parts of the Security Zone. The most difficult situation was recorded at the entrance to Varnitsa.

“Unidentified persons blocked the entry of the PMR citizens to the territory of the RM. The combatants demonstrated belligerency. We understand, that when the situation gets out of control, the institutions of the peacekeeping operation should be included. The Pridnestrovian side insisted on the departure of military observers 6 times, but the Moldovan side blocked the exits, citing the fact, that the law enforcement agencies were supposedly doing the right thing. The representatives of the Republic of Moldova refused to send observers, even when officers of the “Fulger” special forces unit appeared in the Security Zone,” Oleg Belyakov emphasized.
He added, that the Pridnestrovian delegation insists on all peacekeeping mechanisms work in full scope.

“The Moldovan side needs to return to the observance of the fundamental documents regulating the activities of the JCC,” the co-chairman concluded.
