FOREIGNERS ABOUT PRIDNESTROVIE

Guests from Europe about PMR in the Republic Day

Tiraspol, September 2. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. There is some trend: more and more foreigners visit Pridnestrovie. In particular, they are attracted by the main holidays of the country. In the centre of Tiraspol the correspondent of «Novosti Pridnestrovya» News Agency met representatives of Great Britain, Spain, Poland, Bulgaria, France, Germany and several Asian states. They willingly told about the reasons for travel to Pridnestrovie and the most attractive things there.

Walking on the central square we faced the young man who watched the events with real interest. His name is Joel and he is from England. It is not his first trip to Pridnestrovie. Joel comes here for the twentieth time already. According to the Englishman, he is interested in history and the culture of our country very much.

«I travel much; I was also in other unrecognized republics: South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Nagorno-Karabakh and also Pridnestrovie. After that I tried to bring friends here, tried to break the stereotypes existing in the West, to show that it was not dangerous here, that life was pleasant there, and people were friendly and open-hearted», - Joel told.

For the first time, the young man visited Tiraspol three years ago. As he tells, then in the western media there was information that it could be dangerous to travel to Pridnestrovie, that it was not recommended to travel there. But, having visited Tiraspol, Joel admits that he has fallen in love with the city, with the summer atmosphere and with the people.

«Most of all I like people here: they are friendly and really open-hearted. Also, I am fond of architecture and elements of the former Soviet Union. There is nothing similar in the West, so it is very interesting to me», - the Englishman emphasized.

This time also other tourists have arrived with Joel. Isabel from Bulgaria is among them. She decided to visit our country as she is interested in the culture of the Slavic countries. Isabel learned about Pridnestrovie from her friend and decided that it will be a useful experience – to visit Pridnestrovie, to get acquainted with locals lifestyle.

«Today here it is very interesting and cheerful: concerts, military parade, dances, national songs. The atmosphere, in general, is really cool. Locals are very friendly. And there is really tasty ethnic cuisine. I have really liked Pridnestrovie. Perhaps, I'll come here once again», - the girl shared the impressions.

We met a lot of tourist from Great Britain on the streets of Tiraspol. David arrived from England too. He has got to Pridnestrovie really simply: he has bought the vacation package in the travel agency. The man has already visited Romania and Moldova Pridnestrovie is the final point. According to David, he has never heard about Pridnestrovie before, but he is pleasantly surprised with what he has seen.

«Your city is rather modern: there are good roads, new buildings. If to speak about unrecognition, it is only formality. In practice you are the full-fledged state with all the corresponding elements», - David concluded.

Purposes of the foreign tourists, as a rule, are the same: to learn something new, to get acquainted with the culture of such a multinational country, to find out that here it is not terrible at all (as it is told in some foreign media). All them are convinced that Pridnestrovie is warm, sunny, friendly and interesting country.
