Bendery, May 13. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The military personnel of the Russian contingent of Joint peacekeeping forces award ceremony on Mirotvortsy Avenue, Bendery. The event was dated for the last holiday of the Great Victory.
The co-chairman of the Joint control commission Oleg Belyakov presented to the peacekeepers the PMR state awards and anniversary medals of public organization «Paratroopers Union of Pridnestrovie».
«In 1992 when blood flew, people died, the plants and factories collapsed, the Russian peacekeeper soldier came to the rescue of inhabitants of the republic. For 27 years the peacekeeping operation has been creating conditions of peace and agreement. Pridnestrovian people treat this mission with great respect. These awards are the sign of gratitude from the President of the PMR, from all people of the Republic», - Oleg Belyakov emphasized.
The co-chairman of the JCC paid attention to a unique format of the peacekeeping operation. As a part of peacekeeping forces there are serve the military personnel of conflicting parties (RM and PMR), the Russian Federation, military observers of Ukraine and the OSCE Mission representatives.
«Only this format is capable to ensure the peace and order on this territory», - Oleg Belyakov concluded.
At the end of the ceremony, there was a solemn march along Mirotvortsy Avenue.
