Tiraspol, February, 2. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The day before in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior Throne Room, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill presented church awards to a number of dignitaries of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Before the awards ceremony, which was attended by the permanent members of the Holy Synod, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church welcomed all participants.
“I thank you, brethren, for the support of the patriarch, for solidarity with him and for very constructive discussions of important topics during the work of our Synod. I think that nothing would happen in our church that today gives some hope and joy to people if there were no these unanimous decisions” - the Patriarch noted.
His Holiness presented hierarchs with commemorative icons and crosses manufactured for the 10th anniversary of the Local Council of 2009 and the Patriarchal Enthronement.
Then Patriarch Kirill presented religious medals and diplomas to the hierarchs who celebrate anniversaries.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the birth of the Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary, Savva was awarded the Order of St. Innocent the Great, Moscow and Kolomna Metropolitan, III Degree.
At the end of the awards ceremony, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill received congratulations on the 10th anniversary of the enthronement from the hierarchs, representatives of the Synodal institutions, governors of the Stavropol monasteries and the clergy.
