Tiraspol, December, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In the Military and Historical complex Bendery Fortress, the Museum of Ancient History of Pridnestrovie will be opened. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky reported about it during the final press conference.
"More than 50 thousand Scythian artefacts which are the property of the people of Pridnestrovie are stored in the Pridnestrovian State University. There is an idea to create the museum of the Scythian culture in the Bendery fortress", - the Head of the state told.
The presentation of the Scythian culture artefacts in the Exhibition Hall of the Alexander Nevsky Park where all the necessary conditions for the organization of such expositions are created will become the first step, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky.
"The history of the antiquity of Pridnestrovie has to be presented to the attention of our people. It will also be attractive for the tourists", - the President of the PMR summed up.
Pridnestrovie is one of three unique historical and cultural regions of Eastern Europe (with the Caucasus and the Crimea) where monuments of the ancient history with various chronological and cultural coverage meet nearly continually. In 26 years of excavation, the pridnestrovian archaeologists have found more than 50 thousand artefacts, many of which are unique.
