Political stability, economic self-sufficiency ans social justice: president voices basic directions of state development

At a meeting with public activists, Vadim Krasnoselsky urged them to take an active part in creating the country's state development programme

Tiraspol, 11 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During a meeting, which was held in the presidential administration, topical issues of citizens' concern were discussed. The president recalled the instruction he had given to the government to prepare a draft programme for Pridnestrovie's development for the next eight years.

Vadim Krasnoselsky explained why he had chosen this period, justified the timing of the start of work on the strategic plan and outlined the basic directions of the state's development. This involves a number of interrelated aspects - political stability, economic self-sufficiency and social justice.

The interlocutors spoke about the external geopolitical factors projected on the situation in Pridnestrovie and maintained that only in conditions of internal stability and republic-wide unity was it possible to cope with their negative influence. The president assigns a significant role to the public in all the processes connected with the development of the Pridnestrovian statehood.

He called on participants and their colleagues to get involved as much as possible in creating a new state program, stressing that adherence to the principle of opportunism was inadmissible: consolidation entails the formulation of common positions in the debate, fully reflecting the interests of the people of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. In this regard, the head of state welcomes opposition activities when they are aimed at protecting the country's interests and development. The loosening of the political unity of the republic is unacceptable, the president stressed.

They also discussed the events dedicated to Russia's Day scheduled for tomorrow, preparations for the anniversary of the Bendery tragedy, the feasibility of closer interaction of non-governmental organizations with public authorities, the president's press service reports.

Concluding the conversation, the president recalled the importance of people's diplomacy, stressing that it was one of the most important components of NGO activities.
