Pridnestrovian people don't see alternatives to Russia-led peacekeeping operation

This is what President Vadim Krasnoselsky said in an interview with a Regnum journalist

Tiraspol, 26 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie is not going to attack or fight with anyone, proceeding from the defence doctrine and maintenance of national security, President Vadim Krasnoselsky told a Regnum journalist.

The head of state said that the approach to military service was changed this year: the working day lasts from 8 am to 6 pm. There were positive trends in every aspect of military discipline.

"In general, I consider that Pridnestrovie's efficient army, hardened by the fighting in 1992, is a very important deterrent for some hot heads. No less significant peace factor in the region is Russia's peacekeeping forces. The peacekeeping contingent is well-known. They have standard weaponry for all peacekeepers: only small arms without any heavy armament and hardware, missiles and air force. But this is sufficient to maintain peace and security on the Dniester banks. Anв its efficiency is time-proven. Can it be a good model to use in other conflict zones? Why not?" concluded the president.

Vadim Krasnoselsky underscored that the Pridnestrovian people did not see any alternatives to the successful Russia-led peacekeeping mission, did not "want a new war to be unleashed on our land again because of someone's selfish interests.
