Tiraspol, 31 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The head of Pridnestrovie's State Customs Committee (SCC), Vitaly Nyagu, and his first deputy, Alexey Lipovtsev, held a meeting with the deputy head of the Russian Federal Customs Service, Andrey Strukov. Special attention was paid to the implementation of measures aimed at facilitating the export of Pridnestrovian goods to Russia.
The SCC's press service recalls that at the start of 2017 President Krasnoselsky instructed the state authorities to provide and support access to foreign markets for Pridnestrovian manufacturers.
The analysis of customs statistics over the period from January to September showed a nearly 50% increase in exports of domestic goods to Russia. The largest share in the export structure is occupied by machine-building products - 34%, and about 20% of all exports to Russia account for metals and metal products. The shares of textile, food products and chemical goods account for 10% each, and that of footwear is 8%.
The parties exchanged views on mutual trade turnover between Russia and Pridnestrovie. They also discussed some results of the implementation of the protocol on the organisation of information exchange on goods and vehicles moving between Pridnestrovie and Russia. Particular attention was paid to the identification of Pridnestrovian goods in total exports from Moldova.
At the end of the meeting, Vitaly Nyagu expressed the hope that "the measures that have been taken together will contribute to the development of the country's economic potential and strengthen the ties between our states."
to "Besides, we expect that simplifies customs procedures will facilitate the development of business and encourage economic agents from Russia to invest in the economy of our country and develop business there," added Nyagu.
The Pridnestrovian official informed his Russian colleague about the situation at the Pridnestrovian section of the border since the establishment of Moldo-Ukrainian customs and border control at the Kuchurgan checkpoint and about the possible effects that may have on trade relations between Pridnestrovie and Russia.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol on the regular exchange of data on Pridnestrovian exports to Russia and on the expansion of cooperation within the framework of the memorandum on cooperation between Russian and Pridnestrovian customs services, including in the law enforcement sphere.
