Tiraspol, 28 September. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Members of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the PMR have met an Italian delegation. The main purpose of the meeting was the development of economic relations, the First Pridnestrovian TV channel reports.
Italy is an important economic partner for Pridnestrovie. It is in this country that many Pridnestrovian enterprises export their goods. The Italian economy is divided into so-called associations. This is the secret of its success, the CIC says. Pridnestrovie has chosen the same way. Four associations have been already formed in the country, including the associations of poultry breeders, beekeepers, vine growers and businesswomen.
According to the CIC vice president, Vasily Kozhan, at the end of October, the heads of these associations will visit Italy to adopt the best practices, which will be further developed in Pridnestrovie.
The meeting participants spoke about the expansion of the export potential of the enterprises of the two countries, which Italy is ready to assist in. The Italian businessmen proposed to create promotional booklets offering complete information about export-driven enterprises, the range of their products and output. This will help to establish first new contacts and then partnerships.
"We believe that the business potential of Pridnestrovie is enormous. We have talked here with various economic institutions and understood that it is easy to build the business system here, without any bureaucracy. We'll invite our businessmen who want to invest here and provide them with information," said Matteo Peggio, the president of the Italy-BRICS Association.
Not only in the economic sphere will cooperation with Italy be expanded. In addition to the businessmen, the Italian delegation comprises cinematographers, who plan to make a documentary about Pridnestrovie.
