Tsybulsky on visit to Arkhangelsk: 'Pridnestrovian products can easily compete in the Russian market'

The official spoke about the possibilities of building food trade relations with Russian regions

Tiraspol, 26 September. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Pridnestrovian delegation visited the Margaritinskaya Fair in Arkhangelsk. The representatives of the agricultural ministry and economic development ministry returned to the country and shared their impressions of the visit.

According to the head of the innovation and information department, Fedot Tsybulsky, the opening ceremony of the fair was held at Nothern Federal University.  It was attended by numerous delegations from various regions of Russia, CIS and foreign countries.

The first part of the fair was devoted to various conferences, forums, roundtable discussions. The Pridnestrovian delegation took part in a discussion conference on industrial and amateur fishing, as well as a round table on assistance to farmers in the construction of modules for storing vegetables, meat and dairy products.

"Today such projects are designed for small businesses. It is also interesting that the Arkhangelsk Oblast has a subsidy fund that can give 300,000 roubles without any deposit.  Returns are very fast, and interest rates are low. This helps farmers to expand," said Tsybulsky.

According to him, the delegation was able to visit a meeting of the chairman of Russia's Rospotrebsoyuz with the consumer societies of the Arkhangelsk Oblast.

Attending such events is not only informative but also action-oriented. The main task of the delegation was to strengthen ties and draw attention to the country as a major player in the food market.

Tsybulsky noted that the topic of cooperation was acute and relevant both to Russia's northern region and to Pridnestrovie. For example, Serbian suppliers enjoy free import to Arkhangelsk. In order to build successful logistics, a delegation from Arkhangelsk will soon visit Pridnestrovie.

"We have met the main suppliers. They come from Krasnodar and Uzbekistan. We can easily occupy our niche since Pridnestrovian products are of excellent quality and competitive," concluded Tsybulsky.
