Tiraspol, 31 August. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovie's MFA has released an official statement in connection with a recurrence of unacceptable actions by Moldova to restrict Pridnestrovie's international contacts.

The statement says that a number of foreign guests invited to the PMR by the Pridnestrovian leadership have been recently refused entry to the country by the Moldovan border police at Kishinev Airport.

In particular, the Moldovan police were deported the chairman of the Panel of Russian Military Experts, chairman of the Russian Union of Cadet Associations, Maj. Gen. Alexander Vladimirov, members of a South Ossetian delegation, led by the head of the presidential administration, Igor Kazayev, assistant executive director of the Russian World Foundation, Vsevolod Zheleznov.

«The actions by Moldovan representatives indicate Kishinev's another attempt to filter foreign guests going to Pridnestrovie," says the statement.

It also notes that of particular concern is a ban on entry to Moldova for the Supreme Councils representative to Russia, Olga Gukalenko, who was going to Tiraspol. As a Pridnestrovian citizen, she was going to the place of permanent residence in Pridnestrovie, which she approved at the border control. The inhuman actions of the Moldovan uniformed services led to the citizen of the PMR being deprived of her inalienable right to visit home, meet her relatives and loved ones.

«The cynical violation by the Moldovan side of the foundations of international law, including the right of citizens to free movement, the right to enter, leave and return to their home country guaranteed by Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 12, Paragraph 4 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights is a blatantly destructive step and is of particular concern. In addition, these actions by Moldova indicate a renunciation of the commitments made by the Moldovan side in the negotiating process, in particular, the Protocol Decision 'On certain aspects of the freedom of movement of the population' of 28 February 2014," the MFA stresses, adding that «imposing restrictions on the freedom of movement of Pridnestrovian citizens, including a ban on going to the place of residence, is an extremely dangerous precedent, raising the degree of tension between the sides.»

The MFA underscores that Moldova's destructive steps have a very negative impact on the complex atmosphere of the dialogue and provoke general instability in the region.

In connection with this egregious incident, the MFA has sent the relevant note to the Moldovan side, as well as all «5+2» negotiation participants with a demand to make efforts to prevent any form of restriction of the inalienable rights of the Pridnestrovian citizens and tightening the political and diplomatic blockade of Pridnestrovie, which is an equal party to the international negotiating process.

«The uncivilised measures by Kishinev cannot remain unnoticed by the international partners, and its provocative actions should be assessed through interaction at all levels of dialogue," concluded the ministry.
