Mukhametshin: We consider the plans and the actions of the Moldovan authorities aiming to terminate the peacekeeping mission of Russia in Pridnestrovie unreasonable and inadmissible

It is a way to a new conflict on the Dniester which will involve Russia in a new center of tension, the diplomat notes

Bendery, July 29. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Russian authorities are greatly concerned with the recent attacks of the Moldovan leaders against the peacekeeping operation. The Russian Ambassador in Moldova Farit Mukhametshin told about it at the festive meeting devoted to the anniversary of deployment of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the Security Zone.

«We consider the plans and the actions of the Moldovan authorities aiming to terminate the peacekeeping mission of Russia in Pridnestrovie unreasonable and inadmissible. It is a way to a new conflict on the Dniester which will involve Russia in a new center of tension. I am sure that the Russian peacekeepers will fulfill their peacekeeping duty up to an end," the diplomat told.

He also criticized the behavior of the Romanian authorities who refused transit through the airspace for the plane with Dmitry Rogozin onboard, and refusal of Moldova to let the Russian politicians and the actors in the country.

«It seems that someone is interested in deterioration in the general atmosphere of the Russian-Moldovan relations. Someone is desperate to sow the seeds of discord between our countries," the Russian ambassador added.
