Vice speaker: setting up posts another unfriendly step by Moldovan authorities

According to Galina Antyufeyeva, Moldova is trying to resolve political issues through economic means

Tiraspol, 31 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Establishing Moldo-Ukrainian border and customs control at the Kuchurgan border crossing is another unfriendly step by Moldovan authorities, vice speaker Galina Antyufeyeva said in an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya

«There is a '5+2' format to discuss this issue. This unfriendly step will result in difficulties for our economic entities, although they assure us there'll be no difficulties. We know they will — we have already calculated losses; both individual businessmen and legal entities will have to work under Moldovan law," said the MP.

According to her, this is an attempt to solve political issues through economic means.

«Thus we are softly driven into the Moldovan economy. It is the implementation of the plans that have already been talked about. Without taking into account our country's interests, no one can take such steps," said Antyufeyeva.

The vice speaker believes that this problem should be solved with the involvement of all parties concerned, including Ukraine, which remains a guarantor in the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement. She also said that the strengthening of Pridnestrovie's economic blockade would be discussed at a roundtable meeting held in Russia's State Duma.
