Tiraspol, 26 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian athlete Nikolay Orlov won a golden medal in the long throws. As the website of the State Agency for Sports reports, our athlete, who has only begun to compete in the junior category, showed the best result — 68.15m.
Another Pridnestrovian won a medal in the same event but in the adult category. With 78.94m, Dmitry Taraban took second place.
The All-Russian competition sponsored by the founder of LLC SK Yunost, A. Nizamutdinov, has been one of the training stages before the European championship, which takes place in Italy in July. Nikolay Orlov has qualified for the championship, but unfortunately Russia's national track and field teams — both adult and junior — are banned from participating in international competitions.
