Tiraspol, 26 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Russia's TASS news agency is the host of the 8th Forum of Safe Internet. Among its main topics this year are the safety of children in the information space, counteraction against suicidal groups on the Internet, information security in educational organisations, Internet filtering technologies, digital integration as a way of protecting children in virtual space.
The forum's host is Denis Davydov, director of the League of Safe Internet. The speakers of the forum are adviser to the Russian president Igor Schegolev, head of Russia's Roskomnadzor [chief oversight body] Alexander Zharov, deputy chairman of the Federation Council committee on constitutional legislation Yelena Mizulina, deputy speaker of the State Duma Peter Tolstoy, chairman of the Board of the League of Safe Internet Konstantin Malofeyev and CEO of Mail.ru Group Boris Dobrodeyev.
The forum is also attended by members of NGOs, large Russian and foreign IT companies, experts from the European Commission and BRICS countries, industry specialists.
Among them are representatives of our country — head of the State Agency for Mass Media Lidiya Kolodka, head of the criminal investigation department Vyacheslav Yaremchuk and IT director of JSC Interdenstrcom Yury Pozdnyakov.
Proposals to the Concept of Children's Information Security, a set of systemic measures aimed to prevent suicides among adolescents and the prospects for launching a new website to counter Internet extortion will be presented today.
The issue of children's Internet security has recently been much talked about in Pridnestrovie. In early April, for example, President Krasnoselsky held a meeting on that subject with the involvement of the executive director of the League of Safe Internet, Denis Davydov. This organisation was established to counter the spread of dangerous content on the Internet.
The same topic was raised during a meeting that took place a few days later in the Supreme Council. Pridnestrovian MPs, in particular, discussed with the Russian expert the ways of protecting children against the influence of «death groups» in social networks. The State Agency for Mass Media also held meetings with experts from various ministries which are corroborating with the Interior Ministry to solve this problem.
