Tiraspol, April 4. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Russian State Duma Deputy Alexey Silanov met with the authorities of the Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University.

One of the main issues was assignment of the Russian University status to the higher education institution. As it was noted at the meeting, it would help to solve a number of problems which graduates of the Pridnestrovian State University faced then.

«Our university has prepared itself for the new status throughout all these years, we are telling about the Russian-Pridnestrovian university. I can tell that it would ideally solve all problems of the higher education institution: problem of the Russian diplomas for our graduates and emigration of youth from here," the acting PSU rector Stjepan Beryl considers.

According to Alexey Silanov, the geopolitical position and the development course of Pridnestrovie and Russia are similar, so it is possible to solve problems together.

«It's very important for me that we had a constructive approach in solution of those existing problems and that we collaborated in the social sphere," the Russian State Duma Deputy noted.

As Stjepan Beryl emphasized that it had been the first discussion at such a high level, but the sides would continue further discussion of pressing problems. The next meeting will be held in the State Duma of the Russian Federation on Monday.
