SCC to form 'roadmap' taking into account Pridnestrovian business comunity's proposals

Tasks to enhance dialogue with economic agents have been set by the State Customs Committee (SCC) of the PMR

Tiraspol, 16 January. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Participants of a working meeting held at the SCC analysed the work of the committee's structural units, as well as the situation in the sphere of Pridnestrovie's foreign trade. As seen from customs statistics, it remains difficult, the SCC's press service reports.

The SCC, however, believes that it will manage to reverse the situation in the coming months thanks to the implementation of the plan of action to support exports and access of Pridnestrovian goods to foreign markets. The SCC of the PMR will also take part in devising this «roadmap».

With the view of a multidimensional analysis of the situation in the sphere of Pridnestrovie's foreign economic activities, the SCC's leadership instructed the relevant departments to hold a round of meetings in January-February with economic agents at the premises of regional customs offices. In the course of direct communication with business representatives, emphasis will be put on studying the problems they face today when conducting foreign economic operations, as well as on the changes in customs legislation economic agents are expecting to see.

«The position of the committee's leadership is unambiguous: customs regulations for economic agents must be clear, reasonable and void of any administrative barriers. All proposals submitted by the business community during the meetings in customs offices will be analysed and included in the list of actions for the formation of a 'roadmap' in the sphere of boosting foreign economic activities," notes the SCC.
