Tiraspol, December 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Supreme Council passed a new version of the Pridnestrovian Citizenship Constitutional Law in the first reading.
According to the initiative authors, there is a new conceptual framework and all procedures concerning acquisition of the Pridnestrovian citizenship.
«Of course, we have simplified a possibility of taking out the citizenship of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic a lot. It concerns those who can acquire it by birth and if one of the parents has the citizenship and writes an application request that his child wants to acquire Pridnestrovian citizenship, it also concerns both foster parents and disabled children," the Vice-Chairman of the Pridnestrovie's Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva told.
She also noted that the order of citizenship acquisition for the Russian peacekeepers in Pridnestrovie and for the members of their families was simplified significantly.
During the session, the deputies also considered a package of bills concerning the migration policy. At the plenary session, it was decided to pass them and to remain in the second reading mode. According to the parliamentarians, work on migration policy regulation to be continued in the Supreme Council.
