Tiraspol, 14 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Ten foreign media and 92 international observers from 15 countries worked at the presidential election in the PMR, said the head of the Central Election Commission, Yelena Gorodetskaya, while briefing the Supreme Council on the course of the electoral process.

Among foreign journalists were representatives of both the press (Rossiyskaya Gazeta, Parlamentskaya Gazeta) and several Russian TV channels (Zvezda).

International observers, who were monitoring the election, came to the PMR from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Nagorny Karabakh, Serbia, Slovenia, Italy, Estonia, South Ossetia, Great Britain, Germany and France.

«Participation in monitoring at polling stations, the monitoring of the activities of election commissions, the assessments and opinions expressed by international observers suggest that the election of the president of the PMR on 11 December 2016 is irreversibly legitimate and valid," noted Yelena Gorodetskaya.

As we have informed, Vadim Krasnoselsky won the election with 62.3% of the votes (157,410 voters). The second place went to Yevgeny Shevchuk, who was backed by 27.38% of voters, or 69,179 persons. Oleg Khorzhan scored 3.17% of the votes, Vladimir Grogoryev 0.67%, Irina Vasilakiy 0.6% and Alexander Deli 0.55%. Besides, 3,4% (8,593) of Pridnestrovian citizens voted against all the candidates.
