Russian expert will help to synchronise Pridnestrovian legislation with Russian laws

Pavel Prokudin met director of Krasnoyarsk's Institute of Municipal Development Aleksey Menshchikov

Tiraspol, 29 September. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Prime Minister Pavel Prokudin met director of Krasnoyarsk's Institute of Municipal Development Aleksey Menshchikov. At the start of the meeting the head of the government thanked the guest for his readiness to cooperate and visit Pridnestrovie.

«Our only goal is the Great Russia. And we are moving in this direction. We have recently marked the 10th anniversary of the referendum, which means nothing has changed here over this period of time, and if we held it today, the results would be almost the same," said Pavel Prokudin.

One of the main subjects of the negotiations is the Pridnestrovian president's decree to harmonise the legal framework of Pridnestrovie with Russian legislation. The Russian expert was involved in the same activity in the Crimean Republic.

«We expect your visit will help us draft a roadmap which we will follow. I hope our cooperation will bear fruit. You have the experience and we have the desire that our laws comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation," added the prime minister.

As the government's press service reports, Aleksey Menshchikov underscored that Russian public opinion fully supports the aspirations of the Pridnestrovian people. He said that it was his first visit to Pridnestrovie, but he immediately «felt himself among compatriots».

«I, as a representative of public organisations, will share my knowledge and experience to ease the procedure of harmonising our laws and make it as simple as possible," said Aleksey Menshchikov. The Russian guest also stressed that he was greatly impressed with the beauty, neatness and amiability of the capital and the city of Bendery.

The interlocutors also discussed the problems the republic was facing amid the global economic crisis, as well as the role of the Russian Federation in the fate of the Pridnestrovian people and the extensive support Russia was providing to our country.
