22 voting stations to be opened for Russian State Duma Elections in Pridnestrovie

More stations will be opened in Tiraspol as usual

Tiraspol, August 23. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. 22 voting stations will be opened for the Russian State Duma Elections in our republic. Most part of them — in Tiraspol (9), 5 — in Bendery, by 2 — in Dubasary and Rybnitsa, by 1 — in Slobodzeya, Dnestrovsk, Grigoriopol and Kamenka.

As an executive officer Alexander Zapasny explained at the meeting in the Tiraspol State Administration, due to the fact that the elections were held outside Russia, there won't be any electoral register, and the citizens of the Russian Federation would vote at their attendance.

«A citizen must show a passport to participate in the vote, in our case it is an international passport of the Russian Federation or any other ID (Absentee Voting Certificate, etc.). There is no any strict territorial belonging of voters to a certain polling station, that is a citizen may vote in any nearby station," he explained.

In Tiraspol the polling stations will be placed in the long established locations, that is in the Palace of the Republic, the Officers' Club, etc.; the detailed list of their locations will be available on the website of the state administration soon. Also, the information concerning the voting, will be placed on special leaflets of the Pridnestrovie's CEC and on the banners in the city streets in the near future.

The polling stations will be opened at 8:00 and will be closed at 20:00. We will remind, the State Duma Elections of the Russian Federation will be held on September 18.
