Ukrainian border guards switch to heavy security at the border on Pridnestrovie

Pridnestrovie's President was reported on the situation; according to the orders of the Head of state the Pridnestrovie's KGB border detachment continues serving in normal mode

Tiraspol, August 17. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Detachments of the Ukrainian Border Guard at the Pridnestrovian site of the border switched to heavy security according to the yellow level of terrorist threat, the press service of the Pridnestrovie's KGB reports.

As it is noted in the statement published on the website of the department, the Pridnestrovie's President Yevgeny Shevchuk was reported on the situation. According to the President's orders, the KGB border detachment continues serving in normal mode.

At the same time, KGB recommends Pridnestrovians to refrain from visiting Ukraine in the nearest time. «We recommend the citizens to refrain from travelling to Ukraine in the nearest time. We suggest the persons leaving for Ukraine in case of any pressure by the representatives of Ukrainian enforcement agencies to call on the telephone hotline: 0−533−57070 — or to address on the e-mail: anonymno.kgb.pmr@gmail.com," it is told in the statement.

Background information: Setting of the yellow level of terrorist threat means control tightening at the customs checkpoints, increase of an army component in border areas, a possibility of backfire in the direction of a neighbor state.
