Development of tourism in Pridnestrovie was discussed with representatives of international organizations in Tiraspol

Tiraspol, August 16. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Presentation of the UNDP project aimed at the development of the Pridnestrovie's and Moldova's tourist branches was held in Tiraspol. The Agency of Regional Development of Pridnestrovie and the National Inbound Tourism Association of Moldova will work on its implenentation. Financing of the project is carried out from the European Union.

«Altogether, the grant amounts to 65 thousand USD. Now, Pridnestrovie's tourism provides 0.02% of GDP, it isn't enough. At the same time, this branch has big future; also it will provide new jobs. We will try to give a boost to tourism," the chairman of the Pridnestrovie's Agency of Regional Development Tatyana Yaskova noted.

The development project for the Moldova's and Pridnestrovie's travel industries will last for one and a half year. Its implementation will end in November of 2017. During this time, owners and directors of rural guest homes, hotels, travel agencies, wineries, craft centers, museums and also guides will participate in the training seminars. The first of them has been held today. It's topic is development of tourist services and also interactions between their providers.

«New tourist routes will be created according to the project. Thus far, this direction is developed poorly in Pridnestrovie. On top of that, data centers will appear in Chisinau and Tiraspol. They will include about 40 tourist attractions (by 20 in Moldova and Pridnestrovie), 10 tour operators (by 5 in each country). We will unite the best providers of tourist services in two republics," Tatyana Yaskova concluded.
