RANEPA experts visit Pridnestrovie

The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration is one of Russia's leading universities

Tiraspol, 15 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Experts of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) came to Pridnestrovie. President Yevgeny Shevchuk received the scientists. The goal of their visit is to study the republic's current situation. Following the results of the research, recommendations will be submitted for the development of an integrated strategy for resolving the existing systemic problems.

The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration is one of the country's leading universities. The dean of the department of finance and banking, Seda Nasibyan, and the head of the stock markets and financial engineering chair, Korishchenko, came to Pridnestrovie. During a meeting with the president they discussed the potential areas of cooperation, and in particular personnel training.

«There are universities with thousands of students, and our department alone has over a thousand students. The academy's size is immense, with 60 branches covering eight federal districts from Kaliningrad to Sakhalin," said Seda Nasibyan.

President Shevchuk gave instructions to consider the possibility of organising further training courses for the employees of financial and economic ministries and agencies.

The head of state stressed the necessity of conducting an expert analysis of the country's economic situation. This must help to find optimal solutions to the existing problems. It was also noted at the meeting that Pridnestrovie needs a plan for strategic development.

«Pridnestrovie differs from other countries in being internationally unrecognised, with its own peculiarities which are not typical for other states. This leads to the accumulation of various factors, [including] economic and political problems. It is necessary that experts and scientists give their recommendations from the point of view of strategic economic processes, and it is not the politicians, I believe, who must play a leading role here, but specialists and professionals in this sphere. And politicians should consider their recommendations," noted Yevgeny Shevchuk.

«We'll be very glad if our analytical potential, resources and academic staff are involved in analysing the economic situation, making forecasts, elaborating new strategic plans for economic development. We have agreed on close cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development, PRB, administration and information exchange. We'll be glad if our proposals are used to achieve positive economic results," said Konstantin Korishchenko.

The president thanked the Russian scientists for their readiness to cooperate with Pridnestrovie.
