Air defense units withdrawn to permanent base

It is a reminder that on April 27 air defense units of Pridnestrovie's Armed Forces got fully operational and were moved to firing positions in order to prevent unauthorized flights over Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, May 4. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. As the Defence Ministry's press service reports, after carrying out of military tasks air defense units of the Pridnestrovie's Armed Forces are withdrawn to the permanent base, they maintain constant combat readiness and perform daily efforts according to the training plans.

As Novosti Pridnestrovya has already reported, between April 4 and April 27, 2016 radar reconnaissance assets of the Pridnestrovie's air defense detected unauthorized flights of the Romanian aircraft Diamond DA-42 Twin Star violating air borders of the PMR without coordination with the relevant departments of the republic.

Moldavan side didn't respond to numerous appeals of the Pridnestrovie's delegation to the JCC about inadmissibility of flights of this aircraft over the Pridnestrovie's territory in any way.

Due to the continuous violations of the Pridnestrovie's air border by the aircraft of the foreign state and in order to prevent unauthorized flights Pridnestrovie's air defense units got fully operational and were moved to firing positions for reinforcement of standby forces.
