Delegation of Pridnestrovian children in Artek meets representatives of Russian and Crimean public authorities

During the meeting the kids told Artek's guests about Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, 19 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A delegation of Pridnestrovian children is participating in the 4th shift of the Morskoy camp of the International Children's Centre Artek in Crimea.

The shift, dedicated to space thematic, is taking place from 5 to 25 April under the slogan «He said: Let's go!»

As Novosti Pridnestrovya has already reported, the PMR's delegation comprises the winners of the «Patriots of Russia!» contest, organised by the Dniester-Prut Centre (DPC) of the RISS.

It should be noted that the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies does not only organise such trips, but also take active part in the camp's life.

Thus, upon the RISS's initiative, on 18 April the Pridnestrovian children met in Artek representatives of Russian and Crimean public authorities. The delegation, visited Artek, included director of RISS DPC Sergey Mokshantsev, first deputy chairman of the State Duma's committee on CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and compatriots Oleg Lebedev, Sevastopol governor Sergey Menyailo, Crimea's minister of education, science and youth Natalya Goncharova, Crimea's deputy prosecutor Sergey Bulgakov.

In the course of the meeting the kids told the guests about Pridnestrovie, where more than 250,000 Russian citizens live, and presented the works with which they won the «Patriots of Russia» contest.

Following the meeting the schoolchildren admitted the guests to «Honoured Artek Residents» by binding neck scarves and attaching badges.

«Our activities aim to strengthen and develop ties between Russia and Pridnestrovie. The meeting in such a format is a unique opportunity for Pridnestrovian schoolchildren to meet in person the people who has created the contemporary history of Crimea and Russia and asked them any questions of interest. We want the Pridnestrovian children feel the patriotic level that can be felt only in Russia's Crimea. I'm sure the children have managed to realise that despite borders between countries, they are an integral part of the united Russian world. We hope they will share their emotions and knowledge with their peers in Pridnestrovie," said Sergey Mokshantsev.
