Tiraspol, 10 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Moldova continues blocking and impeding work of different components of the Dniester peacekeeping operation. The Deputy Foreign Minister Dmitry Palamarchuk declared it at the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Affairs Ministry Board today.

According to the diplomat, the situation around the peacekeeping operation has a «permanently complicated character» due to such actions of the RM. The above mentioned measures are most likely to pursue an objective of stage-by-stage destruction of its format and mechanism with simultaneous formation of an established public opinion that the operation is inefficient," Dmitry Palamarchuk noted.

Nevertheless, according to the diplomat, stability and controllability of the situation was provided in the Security Zone last year. «There were only fourteen incidents in the Security Zone in 2015, whereas there were over fifty of them in 2014," the deputy minister told.

He added that participation of the Pridnestrovie's foreign policy department in the Joint Control Commission (the authority directing the peacekeeping operation) was enhanced.

«Now, 2 representatives of the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Ministry take part in the work of the Pridnestrovie's JCC delegation," the diplomat stated.
