Moldova's delegation in JCC continues blocking confirmation of representatives from Russia

Oleg Belyakov: "It is a very dangerous trend which can hamper the peacekeeping operation itself"

Once again, at the today's JCC session, it was failed to consider an organizational issue. Also, the Moldovan side blocked the confirmation of the Russian military observer that day.

According to the Pridnestrovie's negotiators, current situation can have serious consequences.

«We see a purposeful line of the Moldovan side aimed to undermine the peacekeeping mechanisms. It is a very dangerous trend which can hamper the peacekeeping operation itself," the JCC cochairman from PMR Oleg Belyakov noted.

Also, the head of the delegation reported on the incident concerning non-admission of 5 Russian peacekeepers to the place of duty by the Moldova's authorities. Consequently, an issue concerning of people-poor in the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

At the same time, Pridnestrovie's representatives emphasize that they will make all efforts to return to normal the JCC’s work.
