In particular, participants of the forum were worried whether the leaders of the republic had answers to the challenges which Pridnestrovie's exporters would have next year. It's important to note that preferential treatment for the Pridnestrovie's enterprises exporting their production to the European Union ends on January 1, 2016. Beginning from that day, they will have to pay full customs duties in order to trade in the European markets. It will cause increasing price of production and, as a result, its noncompetitiveness.
However, it wasn't an option for Pridnestrovie to join this agreement on Moldova's conditions, it was noted at the today's forum.
«First of all, it means that the state, after a certain period, has to give up supporting the enterprises, because if the state continues supporting them further, these enterprises will be brought to responsibility in the European markets. Besides, to ensure export of a number of our economic agents, we will have to let the Moldovan technical experts, customs and tax authorities to our territory. That is practically, we are called on to delegate our sovereign powers on economic management to the Republic of Moldova in order to trade with the EU," Yevgeny Shevchuk explained.
The Head of state emphasized that Moldova used DCFTA Agreement to put additional pressure on Pridnestrovie and to achieve certain political results.
«In practice, it means undermining of the political system, of our independence. It is the next attempt to take our economic system under their control and to achieve those political goals which they tried to reach in 1992 with military methods," — the President told.
Giving a speech to the participants of a youth forum, he also emphasized that the most favorable situation for our republic is simultaneous possibility to trade both with the EU and the countries of the Eurasian union.
