Pridnestrovie's President: Russia has supported Pridnestrovie for all 25 years

Yevgeny Shevchuk acknowledged Russia's help and comprehensive support

During the press conference, Pridnestrovie's President Yevgeny Shevchuk noted crucial role of Russia in peacekeeping and stability in Pridnestrovie. He emphasized that the republic relations with Russia had been tested by many years.

«Owing to the Russian armed forces, bloodshed was ceased in 1992. We are grateful for it and we remember that horrors of that war were stopped by the Russian army," Yevgeny Shevchuk told during the conversation with journalists.

He reminded that Pridnestovie had bared Moldova's economic, information and diplomatic pressure through the whole 25-year history of Pridnestrovie.

«According to our information, perhaps, our partners in Kishinev want to make some more provocative acts in September," the President told to the public.

Yevgeny Shevchuk reminded that, these days, political and economic conditions reducing the economic capacity of Pridnestrovie are external.

«They try to make such conditions when the economy of Pridnestrovie wouldn't be able to satisfy all the population's demands. They do it in violation of all agreements reached earlier," he noted

In such situation, Russia wants to offset Pridnestrovie's losses, to sustain living standards of the republic's citizens.

«Everybody understands that, without Russia's economic help, it would be much harder in the conditions of isolation," Yevgeny Shevchuk considers.
