Lev Gumilyov Centre reps: 'The PMR is our Eurasian beacon, western outpost of the Russian civilisation'

The delegation of the Lev Gumilyov Centre has come to Tiraspol to give lectures and trainings

The Lev Gumilyov Centre is an information and analytical portal created by like-minded Eurasians. It is recalled that in 2012 the cooperation agreement was signed in between the centre and Pridnestrovie's foreign ministry.

This time the centre experts are going to spend a few days in Tiraspol. They are planning to deliver lectures and hold a number of trainings for young men.

«Our aim is to create an intellectual youth hub that will be able to promote these ideas not only Pridnestrovie, but also in Moldova, Gagauz Autonomy, Ukraine and Romania," noted the centre director, Pavel Zarifulin.

The first lecture he read today covered the fundamentals of Eurasianism and Eurasian integration.

«Over the past three years we have steadily been on the path to the Eurasian integration. A vast distance separates us from the Eurasian Union so far, but our people believes that sooner or later we will live in the common space we have always been predestined to," said the deputy foreign minister,

«Armenia has no common borders with the Eurasian Union, and still it has become part of it. The problem lies in the recognition of Pridnestrovie. We saw it in the example of Crimea how everything can change overnight. However, we see our task in a broader context. For us the PMR is our Eurasian beacon, western outpost of the Russian civilisation, which as a magnet must attract Moldova and Ukraine," believes Pavel Zarifulin.
