Prrridnestrovie's CCI president takes part in 25th International Black Sea Club Assembly

Pridnestrovie's Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) has been a member of the Business Council of the International Black Sea Club since 2 June 2006

Last week the Romanian city of Galati hosted the 25th International Black Sea Club Assembly and the 14th congress of the Business Council of the International Black Sea Club.

At the assembly Tiraspol was represented by the president of Pridnestrovie's CCI, Vasili Kozhan.

In the course of the assembly the mayor of Galati, Marius Stan, was elected new president of the International Black Sea Club for the period of 2015−2017. The participants heard the reports on the work accomplished in the previous period and discussed further plans for the club development in 2015−2017, Pridnestrovie's CCI press office reports.

The International Black Sea Club was established on 5 December 1992 at its 1st Assembly in Odessa. This non-government public organisation has observer status with the Black Sea Economic Cooperation organisation and consultative status with the United Nations' Economic and Social Council, which are granted to the internationally renowned organisations only.

The club has been established to enhance and develop business cooperation among the Black Sea port cities.

Today the club includes 30 cities in the regions of the Azov Sea, Black Sea, Sea of Marmora and Aegean Sea: Azov, Anapa, Batumi, Burgas, Varna, Galati, Izmit, Ilichevsk, Kavala, Constanta, Mariupol, Nikolaev, Odessa, Piraeus, Poti, Rostov-on-Don, Thessaloniki, Samsun, Sebastopol, Sukhum, Taganrog, Temryuk, Tiraspol, Trabzon, Tuapse, Theodosius, Kherson, Yuzhny, Yalta, Cahul.

The goal of the club is strengthening and developing business cooperation among its members in social, economic and technological areas, as well as in cultural and sport issues.
