The veteran of the Great Patriotic War Pyotr Mustya visited forum devoted to the Great Victory in Moscow

Pyotr Onufriyevich Mustya is a participant of the Great Patriotic War, the Chevalier of six Orders; he participated in the International Forum of Winners named "The Great Victory" as a member of delegation

The forum was held in the Russian capital at the end of April, the Press Service of the Dubossary Region reports.

The Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation, the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War, the Institute of Eurasian Studies, the Politological Center «North-South» were the organizers of the forum.

Delegates of 16 neighboring countries including the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic participated in the forum.

The veterans were congratulated on the coming Victory Day by the representatives of the Russian Federation Presidential Administration, the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Culture Ministry, the CIS Executive Committee, ambassadors of the foreign states and other officials.

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent a greeting message to the veterans.

The forum started from the wreath-laying ceremony to the Fire of Memory and Glory on the Poklonnaya Gora.

Then, a plenary meeting was held. Historians, political experts, representatives of the youth, public and veteran organizations discussed the results of the Great Patriotic War in the context of the recent history, the problem of fact-based historical knowledge promotion and the preservation of historical memory about the Great Victory in the former Soviet Union.

Opening of a large-scale international exhibition named «We fought together against Nazism» was a central event of the forum; the national museums of the CIS countries and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War prepared this event. Many exhibits including official records and personal belongings of soldiers were demonstrated to the general public for the first time. The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev took part in the exhibition opening. He greeted all veterans and wished them many years of life and good health.

The official part of the forum ended with adoption of the final resolution presenting the most important results of collaboration between the representatives of different generations from all CIS countries.

The gala dinner-concert was a finishing stroke for veterans honouring; every national delegation prepared musical acts: national songs and songs of the wartime.

«Of course, much time is needed to tell everything about the trip. The programme was very rich. I had a lot of impressions!» Pyotr Mustya emphasized.
