Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability (CMTPL) for the cars registered in Moldova will be established in Pridnestrovie beginning from April 14

The relevant Decree was signed by the Pridnestrovie’s President today

In order to create additional conditions for adjustment of the differences existing since 2006 in the issue concerning the mutual Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability, the Head of State decided to integrate the adjustments concerning the deadline extension for the absolute requirement of insurance for the motor vehicles registered in the Republic of Moldova into the Pridnestrovie’s President’s Decree No.26 of January 30, 2015 «About some details of the Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability introduction in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic» from April 1, 2015 till April 14, 2015 (from 00:00 o’clock).

The Government was ordered to make the decision on prolongation of the motor vehicle liability insurance certificates issued for the vehicle owners registered in the Republic of Moldova before April 1, 2015 depending on the insurance certificate obtaining day.

The present Decree comes into effect from the day of signing.

It is important to recall that the issue concerning the Compulsory Motor Third Party Liability implementation was discussed by the Pridnestrovie’s President Evgeny Shevchuk and the Prime Minister of Moldova Kirill Gaburich during the telephone conversations on March 31 and on April 1.
