The regular session of the JCC was held today

The parties focused on the assessment of the situation in the Security Zone according to the Joint Military Command’s (JMC) reports

«Today, the JCC session was started from the discussion of the open agenda adopted last week. 14 JMC’s reports were considered during the session. These reports didn’t raise controversy. Therefore, it was offered to take them into consideration as the situation remained stable and under control of the Joint peacekeeping forces during the period specified in these reports," the Pridnestrovie’s JCC cochairman Oleg Belyakov told in the interview to our journalist.

At the same time according to him, during the consideration of other JMC’s reports the Moldavian party came up with the proposals which could influence (according to the representatives of the Pridnestrovie’s delegation) the acting military contingents' command structure of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.

«The peacekeeping operation is based on the concrete documents including the Peaceful Settlement Principles Agreement of 1992 defining the activities of our military forces. The Pridnestrovie’s party considers that the peacekeepers have always discharged their functions within the established documents and that it’s dangerous to change them," the head of the Pridnestrovie’s delegation noted.

Oleg Belyakov informed that the parties decided to take a short timeout for some consultation.

«The discussion on the JMC’s reports and other questions of the agenda will be continued at the following JCC session," he told.
