Nina Shtanski: The Russian Embassy's efforts helped us to resolve many controversial issues successfully

The meeting between the head of the foreign policy department Nina Shtanski and the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in RM Farit Mukhametshin took place in the MFA today

Our reporter informs that the Deputy Prime Minister on the International Cooperation, the Foreign Affairs Minister Nina Shtanski held a meeting with the Russian Ambassador Farit Mukhametshin today.

During the meeting, the Foreign Affairs Minister thanked the Ambassador for the high-quality consular service rendered in Tiraspol to the citizens of the Russian Federation residing in Pridnestrovie and mentioned the Russia’s attention paid to the compatriots.

“The Russian Embassy's efforts helped us to resolve many controversial issues successfully. 15 interdepartmental agreements between Pridnestrovie and Russian Federation were signed in 2014, dozens of different consultations were held. Plenty of the Russian projects were implemented in Pridnestrovie,” Nina Shtanski noted.

The Foreign Minister also reminded that the Diplomat’s Day will be celebrated in Pridnestrovie together with Russia on February 10 of this year. “It answers the current cooperation level between us. We are traditionally guided by the Russian diplomatic school as our personnel were raised by the Russian diplomatic school actually,” Nina Shtanski emphasized. She said that the Pridnestrovie’s foreign policy department’s staff will attend the refresher course in the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry in February.

“Last year was rather intense, and we worked not only at some kind of projects, we helped the state institutions and the organizations to establish and consolidate the contacts. The signing of 15 memoranda shows that departments of Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation establish close and direct contacts,” Farit Mukhametshin mentioned in his turn.
