The Government reviewed the draft decree concerning the approval of the Pridnestrovie’s healthcare development concept for 2015-2017

According to the head of the Health Ministry Tatyana Skrypnik, the draft includes all the offers submitted during the open public expert consultations

The minister emphasized due to the present economic situation that it is difficult to predict the results and accomplishment of this concept till 2020 today. Accordingly, they decided to change the validity period of this document. Notably that there was offered the branch development strategy based on the available system improvement and on the research of new approaches and branch management models, and also on the emerging from cost methods to the rational use of the available resources.

‘Free medical care isn’t supported by the state guarantees sufficiently; a personnel problem leads to the difficulties in the medical treatment delivering over the republic. It is also affected by the foreign trade difficulties and budget deficit. So, it doesn't allow us to subsidize this economic sector sufficiently,’ Tatyana Skrypnik noted.

The ministry discriminated three main focus areas in the document: the medical treatment quality improvement by upgrading the equipment and providing human resources, the extension of the services list and setting the commercial services tariffs, the healthy lifestyle motivation of citizens and also the healthcare system IT development.

Thus, the Prime Minister noted, the issue concerning the quality of medical care was almost resolved in view of the fact that the today's healthcare system was provided with the new up-to-date equipment.

The document specifies the estimates of workers’ personal salaries including the profits from commercial services, the compulsory 3-year contracts to medical faculty graduates, and also the measures aimed at the housing improvement of healthcare workers.

Tatyana Turanskaya emphasized during the project discussion that all held events had to be aimed at the increase in life expectancy of citizens first of all, at the improvement in maternal, child and general mortality over the republic, decrease in the main socially significant transmissible and intransmissible diseases.
