The Pridnestrovie’s draft budget was passed in the second reading

Only technical revisions will be made in the third final reading on December 24

The nature of the country’s main financial law changed slightly after its passing in the first reading. The Pridnestrovie’s Minister of Finance told about it in the interview to journalists.

"The budget income has remained the same, but the expenditure has been slightly reduced. Following the results of today's session I can't call the exact budget parameters yet. But the consolidated budget shortfalls remains also approximately the same as it was after the first reading, i.e. about 1 billion 900 million," Elena Girzhul noted.

According to her, the consolidated budget deficit made about 40%, the republican budget deficit – 53%. "The most part of deficit isn't provided with some real income sources yet," Elena Girzhul told to journalists. For reference, the consolidated budget also includes the budgets of the cities and regions.

According to the second reading results the public authorities’ salary budget was reduced by 7%. However, according to the head of the Finance Ministry, these measures will allow to keep the level salary of 2014.

Besides, the Pridnestrovie’s State Broadcasting Company will suffer heavy losses in budgeting especially. Actually, within the first reading the deputies have already decided to cut the financing of the PSBC by 3 million rubles alongside with the reduction of salary budget by 7%.

The amendment, providing the broadcasting company’s budgeting for the next year at the same level as in 2014, was rejected by deputies in the second reading.

"Pursuant to the amendment concerning the broadcasting company, primarily, its salary budget was supposed to remain at the 2014 level, but this initiative wasn't supported. Therefore the state television will have to reduce the headcount. So, their budget line has to be cut by about 40% of the original one," Elena Girzhul emphasized.

The PSBC director Irina Dementieva reported that they will "have to reduce the number of employees this year". It is about 34 employees. We should reduce sports, children's, Ukrainian and Moldavian editorial office and also all the press centers in our country’s regions".

Besides, it will be necessary to reduce the TV channel’s broadcast time. The experts say that it will harm the republic’s information security. It is especially dangerous in the conditions of instability in the neighbor states.

Our news agency reported earlier, one of the amendments submitted by the Government will provide the transferring of the state enterprises’ profit into the budget. Talking to the media at the end of the today's meeting of the Supreme Council, Elena Girzhul noted that this amendment doesn't conform to the current legislation. "The government stands for its position expressed at the budget discussion in the first reading that this decision is illegal. As these enterprises are self-financed, so in fact it’s an extra tax. It can fail the investment program for investment programs," Elena Girzhul summed up.
