Nina Shtanski: Pridnestrovie’s unrecognition is a direct consequence of "double standards"

The Pridnestrovie’s Foreign Affairs Minister told about it during the interview to the ENG crew of the largest South Korean broadcasting company KBS (Korean Broadcasting System)

The Pridnestrovie’s Deputy Prime Minister on the International Cooperation, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nina Shtanski answered the journalists’ question of the Pridnestrovie’s legal recognition possibility and  reminded that the right of nations to self-determination is affirmed in a number of the fundamental international instruments.

"The main document in the international law system is the UN Charter which affirms the nations’ right to determine their fate independently. Unfortunately, this rule is applied by the international community selectively," Nina Shtanski noted. "Even a shallow analysis shows that Pridnestrovie has established itself as the state way more than, for example, Kosovo. Besides, initially the creation of the republic was based on the public consensus – the numerous national referenda were held to fulfill the will of people. Pridnestrovie’s unrecognition is a direct consequence of the "double standards" widespread in the today world unfortunately, " the Minister emphasized.

The Prednistrovie’s MFA Press Office reported that the result of KBS ENG crew’s work would be the documentary about Pridnestrovie for showing it on the South Korean television in January, 2015.
