Yevgeny Shevchuk visits 4 Rybnitsa's general education institutions on Knowledge Day

The president congratulated teachers and schoolchildren on the new school year

The president's press service reports that on the Knowledge Day Yevgeny Shevchuk visited celebratory assemblies at four general education institutions in the city of Rybnitsa and Rybnitsa district: Stroyentsy secondary general education school-kindergarten, Vada Turkuluy secondary general education school-kindergarten, Rybnitsa Russian gymnasium 1, Rybnitsa theoretical lyceum.

The head of state congratulated the teachers and schoolchildren on the new school year. "I wish the schoolchildren academic achievements, excellent marks and knowledge, which will form a solid foundation for the rest of your life. I wish the parents patience and growth in prosperity. I wish the teachers enhancement of teaching facilities in order to provide children with up-to-date knowledge," said the president.

Yevgeny Shevchuk highlighted the importance of preserving schools in rural areas. The president noted the government continues supporting ungraded village schools, whereas in Ukraine and Moldova such institutions are shut down.

The Stroentsy school has only three first formers this year; the Vada Turkuluy school, four. The Rybnitsa Russian gymnasium №1 has admitted 76 pupils, and the Rybnitsa theoretical lyceum, 52 first formers.

Modern computer classrooms have been opened in the general education institutions, visited by the president. Each of them is equipped with interactive boards, purchased by the Pridnestrovian Humanitarian Fund. "This is a serious aid to the teaching staff. The new equipment enables the use of up-dated methods of teaching. The level of this equipment is equal to that used in Moscow schools," underscored the head of state.

By the new school year Rybnitsa schools had been repaired and equipped with new furniture out of extra-budgetary funds. "The rate of extra-budgetary investment in Rybnitsa's general education institutions has made $ 300,000 over the past two and a half years and is 33 times higher than that of public investment. We are forming the ground for studying, working and living here," said the Pridnestrovian president.

The head of state also recalled  Rybnitsa's secondary school №6 was being built by ANO Eurasian Integration.

In an interview with the journalists the president pointed out that "funds are being cast now to equip other municipal school by up-to-date standards."
