Tiraspol, November 29./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At the First Medical Forum, the Head of the Government Alexander Martynov spoke about the problems of Pridnestrovian health care, as well as about ways to solve them. According to the Prime Minister, problems in the industry have dug up for decades and these days have reached the stage of escalation.

Personnel

Personnel is the first and the most important item, according to the Head of the Government. The task is to stop the outflow of medical workers and to create conditions for the influx of new ones. Part of the plan is to increase salaries significantly. Such a step is included in the Draft of the Republican Budget 2020. It is expected to be launched from July 1 next year, if our economy does not face external obstacles.

Affordable housing for medical professionals

The housing issue is in the connection with the financial component. In this sphere, the Government has developed an initiative that had already been sent to the Parliament for consideration.

“It involves help for young professionals, families to purchase housing. In fact, it is a mechanism when the state repays 50-60% of the cost of the apartment. We expect that for a young family with one, two children the cost of living space will be $6000-7000, but it is in instalments for 10 years. The concept is that the monthly payment of the family is no more than for rent”, Alexander Martynov explained.

Infrastructure Upgrade

Hospitals, polyclinics, rural outpatient clinics and medical and obstetric posts, many of which were built in the USSR, have become dilapidated and require serious cash infusions. The Capital Investment Fund has been in operation for the second year, as a result, a number of facilities have already acquired a proper external and internal appearance (for example, the emergency department of the Republican Clinical Hospital, infectious in Ribnitsa, polyclinic on Fedko Street in Tiraspol).

“We will continue this work until we have all health facilities in good condition”, government press service quotes the Prime Minister.

New Technique

In addition, the renovated and built medical institutions will be equipped with advanced diagnostic and high-tech equipment. Under this direction, the Government intends to lay 50-60 million rubles annually in the treasury.

Clinical Recommendations

Alexander Martynov emphasized, the last position was related to the development of clinical recommendations. In his opinion, without them it is difficult to talk about “financial planning and quality treatment”. Their final formation is expected within 2-3 years.

“It would be very desirable if after two days of the Forum we have even more effective recipes to improve our medicine”, the Head of the Government concluded.
