The Pridnestrovie's President Yevgeny Shevchuk held a meeting with the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in RM Farit Mukhametshin. Also, the Deputy Prime Minister on International Cooperation — the Pridnestrovie's Foreign Minister Nina Shtanski took part in the meeting.
During the dialogue, some issues concerning the Russian citizenship reception in the Tiraspol Consular Affairs Division of the Russian Embassy in Moldova were discussed there. The parties emphasized that it was necessary to take measures required to speed up that procedure.
«Work of the consular division was organised very shortly, however the scope of further work requires additional efforts. In a short time we will coordinate together with the Russian Foreign Ministry possible procurement, staff increase in the Consular Division in order that people could obtain citizenship more quickly," Farit Mukhametshin explained.
As the President Press Office reports, they also talked about the implementation of the large-scale Russia-Pridnestrovie humanitarian project in the territory of the republic. Book funds of all Pridnestrovie's schools will be totally replaced within this project.
«Ceremonial delivery of schoolbooks will be held on the Knowledge Day, September 1. I express gratitude to the Russian side, to the Ambassador and officials of the Russian Federation, everyone who promoted the implementation of this project. In such difficult time, Russia pays much attention to Pridnestrovie. The books based on the modern teaching methods are very useful for teachers and pupils of our educational institutions," the President emphasized.
Diplomats of the Russian Embassy plan to take part in the ceremonies of new study guides delivery to the Pridnestrovie's schools.
«The project implemented at the initiative of Yevgeny Vasilyevich, comes to an end, so the republican educational institutions will receive a complete package of new textbooks. For the last 20 years, such amount of study guides hasn't been produced in Pridnestrovie," — Farit Mukhametshin noted.
